Disability Program

Once approved for membership in the trust, eligibility for purchasing statutory New York State Disability Insurance coverage is available from the Human Services Self-Insurance Trust Fund.

This is an extremely beneficial combination to the membership and to the trust itself because it keeps disability claims from becoming costly workers’ compensation claims. It reduces the possibility of a claim being improperly classified.
