Membership Requirements

• The perspective agency must be a nonprofit human service agency with acceptable class codes
• Dec page from current carrier to verify payroll classifications
• Submission of 5 years of currently valued loss runs to be reviewed by a certified underwriter
• Approval from the Trust reinsurer, Safety National who is an "A" rated carrier
• 3 years of audited financials from the prospect must be submitted. This step is important not only to confirm that the agency is financially stable and can make the required premium payments, but also for the strength and stability of the group as a whole
• A safety engineer will schedule an initial walk through and meet with the director of the safety committee, or other designated contact, and discuss the results and recommendations. Having an active and effective safety committee is a requirement of membership
• Completion of an application from the prospect
• Review and verification of all requirements above by all three Trustees of the Trust
• Review of application by WCB
